Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU Adult
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Self-scheduling system with scheduler's right to rebalance the schedule
• 3 weekend shifts required every 4 weeks (4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks)
• Holiday work integrated with core staff rotation
• 2-shift orientation on the floor
• Must have 2 years ICU experience and experience in 600+ bed teaching facility
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail SIMs Lab on day 1 including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Float among all ICU areas and Med/Surg/Tele units, including potential float to Westgate campus
• Must read and interpret own telemetry strips
• Required to titrate drips and work with ventilators (Cervo I, Jets, Oscillators)
• Navy scrub color dress code required
• Must have natural hair color, no facial piercings, men must be clean shaven for fit test
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Work in 120-bed unit (40 beds per SICU/MICU/Trauma ICU area)
• Handle bedside procedures including bronchs, trachs, hemodialysis catheter placements
• Care for patients with sepsis, GI bleed, DKA, trauma cases, transplant patients, and post-surgical cases
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Charting system: Cerner

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
