Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 3-12 hour shifts per week with potential overtime opportunities
• Block scheduling available, cannot guarantee 6 on 8 off rotation
• Every other weekend requirement and holidays as needed
• No call or standby requirements
• No floating requirements
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Critical care skill set required to manage cardiac dysrhythmias, critical drips, BiPap, CPAP, and mechanical ventilation
• Experience with radial ABG draws required
• Manage all critical care drips, TPA, sedation, paralytics, and other emergency medications
• Care for patients with sepsis, medical and surgical conditions, overdose, trauma, and COPD across all age groups
• Work in P4 trauma center with STEMI and stroke receiving capabilities
• Dress code requires navy scrubs, solid colors only, no patterns or embroidery, closed-toe shoes required
• Use EPIC charting system
• BSN not required
• Orientation includes general hospital orientation, full nursing orientation, computer training, and two 12-hour precepted shifts

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency department serving as a P4 trauma center with STEMI and stroke receiving capabilities. The 28-bed emergency department includes 2 designated trauma/code rooms, 2 psychiatric/seclusion rooms, and treats an average of 70-75 patients daily. The facility features in-house security, 24/7 respiratory therapy availability, dedicated phlebotomy services, and modern imaging capabilities with X-ray and CT located adjacent to the emergency department.
