Opportunity:

RN - Acute Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement with holiday coverage required
• 36-bed acute care unit with RN/LPN ratio of 6:1 and CNA ratio of 12:1
• Minimum 1 year experience in hospital medical-surgical units required
• Must live within 75-mile radius of facility (driver's license verification required)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS; ACLS preferred
• Dress code: White scrub tops with hunter green pants
• Electronic medical record system: MEDITECH
• Telemetry monitoring included (nurses do not read strips)
• Charge nurse responsibilities included
• Occasional floating to other units
• 3-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Hospitalist available in-house 24/7 with respiratory therapy support
• Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, pneumonia, renal failure, sickle cell crisis, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, and sepsis
• Cancellation policy allows up to 12 hours every 2 weeks
