Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend for travelers
• Self-scheduling allowed with block schedules accommodated when unit needs are met
• Average patient ratios 1:5 (can flex up to 1:6)
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• Must be able to read cardiac strips and be comfortable with cardiac patients
• Responsible for titrating Heparin drips and occasionally Lasix or Bumex
• Handle post heart cath patients, TR bands, CHF, COPD, post pacers, and arrhythmias
• Perform own admissions and discharges with approximately 8-12 of each per day
• May be floated anywhere in hospital but only given patients within skillset
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs, scrub jackets allowed but no hoodies
• Orientation includes 1 day computer training and 1 day floor shadowing with preceptor
• Must submit unexpired driver's license copy with application
• Charting system: EPIC
• Call or standby requirements rare but possible if census is low
• Holiday work may be required based on unit needs
• BSN not required
