Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Self-scheduling with cyclic rotation
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 22-bed unit with average daily census of 6
• Care for orthopedic patients including total knee replacements, total hip replacements, ankle replacements, total shoulders, and spine surgeries
• Float to MedSurg, rehab, or PCU taking MedSurg acuity as needed
• One day of unit-specific orientation provided
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
• BLS certification required
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will lead to contract termination
• Chart using EPIC system
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Driver's license required at submittal to verify distance requirement
• Blocked scheduling not approved unless weekends only
• RTO must be requested upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract)
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
