Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekend requirements every other weekend
• Float pool position covering multiple units of varying acuity levels
• Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with self-scheduling options
• Must have 5 years of nursing experience required
• Prefer 1 year of ICU experience or 1 year of ED experience
• Must be comfortable with patient ratios ranging from 1:2 to 1:10 depending on unit assignment
• Float to various units including CCU (10 beds), IMC (30 beds), MS Level 7 (27 beds), MS Level 8 (48 beds), Skilled Care (33 beds), and ED (15 beds)
• Will only float to ED or CCU if within skillset
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (if working in CCU or ED)
• Must be able to titrate drips including Heparin when working in ED or CCU
• Expected to read and interpret telemetry strips, print strips, perform measurements, and identify rhythms
• Must troubleshoot respiratory equipment and other medical devices
• Common patient diagnoses include NSTEMI, pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, heart disease, and diverticulitis
• Receive unit assignment via text message within 2 hours prior to shift start
• One day of orientation and one day with preceptor provided
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius rule applies)
• Use Cerner charting system
• May be included in holiday rotation schedule
• Schedule created for 4 weeks at a time with flexibility expected to fill staffing gaps
