Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• First to float to Medical/Surgical or Emergency Room for 1:1 assignments
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:2-3 depending on acuity
• 4-bed ICU unit with no charge nurse assignment (Emergency Room manages ICU)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC/TCAR or trauma patient care experience
• Must pass fit testing for respiratory equipment (facial hair restrictions apply)
• Scrub color requirement: Navy
• 3 twelve-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
• Care for patients with DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac conditions, medical detox
• Manage arterial lines and central venous pressure monitoring
• Required to titrate ICU-typical drips and medications
• Work with respiratory equipment ranging from nasal cannula to ventilators
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Use MEDITECH charting system
• Director creates schedule (no self-scheduling)
• Must demonstrate coachability, motivation, and strong teamwork skills

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
