Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Maintain 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios in ICU, with potential for 1:5 ratios for medical patients and 1:4 for PCU during downgrades
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must pass open book exam with 90% score during Friday orientation or face contract termination
• Care for patients with COPD, pneumonia, CVA, TIA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, and neurological conditions
• Titrate various drips including vasopressors, insulin, TNK, heparin, IV antibiotics, and sedatives
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Work with ventilators and BiPAP equipment for troubleshooting
• Float to PCU and medical floors as needed
• Work every other weekend with holiday requirements varying based on unit needs
• Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove results in contract termination
• Driver's license required for submittal to verify distance requirements
• Chart using EPIC system
• Complete first week system orientation plus 1-2 twelve-hour unit orientation shifts
• Schedule managed by unit scheduler
