Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and holiday requirements as needed
• No call or standby requirements
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 with 1:6 ratio at least once per week
• 42-bed medical/surgical unit treating medical, surgical, and orthopedic patients
• Charge nurse on each shift who takes patient assignments
• Manage titratable drips including Heparin
• Work with telemetry monitoring and centralized telemetry station
• Collaborate with nurse aides/patient care techs with 1:10-12 ratios
• May float to PCU or Burn units as needed
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Must pass open book skills exam with 90% score during orientation
• First week classroom orientation followed by 2 twelve-hour floor shifts
• Use EPIC charting system
• Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot work for CommonSpirit facilities
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination
• BLS certification required
• RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract)
