Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts (Days: 0700-1930, Nights: 1900-0730)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend for travelers
• Weekend shifts for nights are Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday; days are Saturday/Sunday
• Patient ratios: Average 1:5 (can flex up to 1:6)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Must be able to read cardiac strips and interpret telemetry
• Experience with post heart catheterization patients, CHF, COPD, post pacemaker patients, and cardiac arrhythmias
• Required to titrate heparin drips; may occasionally titrate Lasix or Bumex
• Must be comfortable performing EKGs and other cardiac monitoring procedures
• Responsible for patient admissions and discharges (approximately 8-12 per day)
• Self-scheduling allowed with block scheduling accommodated when unit needs are met
• Required to wear royal blue scrubs; scrub jackets permitted but no hoodies or sweat-jackets
• Orientation includes 1 day computer training and 1 day floor shadowing with preceptor
• May be floated to other units within skill set
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Holiday work may be required based on unit needs
• Must submit unexpired driver's license copy with application
