Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 or 48 hour weekly schedules available
• Weekend day positions: Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend night positions: Friday, Saturday, and Sundays OR Saturday, Sundays, and Mondays
• Night shifts (weekdays): every other weekend or 3 weekend shifts per schedule
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 for floor patients on 20-bed unit (14 floor beds)
• Care for patients with neurosciences conditions, DBS (Deep Brain Stimulators), stroke, seizures, surgical/post-op spines, and neurological disorders
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (must be in hand at time of submission)
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Must have strong neuro experience and proficiency with G-tubes
• Recent EPIC charting system experience required
• Any background hits must be disclosed at time of submission
• Dress code: any combination of white and royal blue scrubs
• One shift unit-specific orientation provided
• Holiday rotation participation required
• Floating may be required to other units within the hospital
• Up to 2 shift cancellations allowed per 13-week contract
• Charge nurse available 24/7 with nurse aids on unit (3 per shift)
• Telemetry monitoring available with monitor techs reading strips
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for ventilator management
