Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM
• 24-bed stepdown unit with 1:4-5 nurse to patient ratios on nights
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (NIHSS preferred)
• Must have experience with pre/post cardiac procedures including stents, pacemakers, ICDs, CABG, and vascular procedures
• Care for patients with cardiac diagnoses including pre/post heart catheterization, cardioversions, cardiothoracic procedures, post-thoracotomy, vascular procedures, and NSTEMI
• Manage patients with trachs on home vents, BiPAP, CPAP, and chest tubes
• Titrate select drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, nitroglycerin, and Integrilin
• Work with monitor techs who handle telemetry monitoring and documentation
• Weekend requirement of every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month
• Holiday rotation including 6 major holidays
• May float within permanent staff rotation
• Navy blue scrub color requirement
• 2-3 shift unit orientation
• Block scheduling and self-scheduling options available
• No call or standby requirements
• EPIC charting system
• 2 cancellations allowed per 13-week assignment
• Permanent address must be at least 25 miles from facility
