Opportunity:

RN - CVOR

Job Details:

• Work 8 or 10 hour shifts beginning at 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday
• Same schedule week to week with somewhat self-scheduled call
• 10-15 total days per month on call, combination of nights and weekends
• Call response time requirement of 15 minutes
• Holiday and weekend call requirements as needed
• Work in 11-suite CVOR with average of 18 cases per day
• Handle common cases including CABG, vascular, and lung procedures
• Must have experience with open heart procedures and general OR work
• Scrubbing not required for RNs
• Will work on CVOR team embedded in general OR
• When not doing cardiovascular cases, will perform general, orthopedic, urology, and ENT cases
• No floating requirements outside of general OR work
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass open book exam with 90% score during Friday orientation or face termination
• One week of unit-specific orientation provided
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit affiliated facility
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Electronic medical records system: Epic

This acute care healthcare facility features a comprehensive cardiovascular operating room with 11 surgical suites and a high-volume caseload averaging 18 procedures daily. The facility operates an integrated CVOR team within the general operating room environment, offering diverse surgical experiences across cardiovascular, general surgery, orthopedic, urology, and ENT specialties. The organization maintains high standards with dedicated management and charge nursing support on each shift, along with OR technician assistance.
