Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic/Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: Days 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or Nights 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 30-minute lunch break
• Every-other-weekend requirement (Weekend nights are Friday/Saturday/Sunday; Weekend days are Saturday/Sunday)
• Patient ratio of 1:6 in 33-bed unit with all private rooms
• EPIC experience required
• Must have experience with orthopedic patients and PCA pumps
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• Care for patients with elective surgeries (hips, knees, shoulders), fractures from falls, back and neck neurosurgeries, and general medical-surgical conditions
• Manage IV fluids and PCA pumps (no heparin or other drips)
• Remote telemetry monitoring available if needed (monitored by 3rd floor)
• Floating required to any medical-surgical units as first priority
• Royal blue scrubs required (scrub jackets must also be royal blue if worn)
• 1 day EPIC orientation, 1 day floor orientation with preceptor, independent on day 3
• Must submit unexpired copy of driver's license with application
• May be called off for low census depending on contract
• Holiday work may be required based on unit needs
