Description
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• Patient ratio typically 1:2, occasionally 1:3
• 16-bed ICU unit with variety of high acuity patients including ventilated patients
• Responsible for titrating drips including vasopressors/inotropes, sedatives, heparin, octreotide, and insulin
• May float to PCU or Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score or face termination
• Classroom orientation followed by 2 twelve-hour shifts on the unit
• EPIC charting system used
• Navy blue scrub color requirement
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with any CommonSpirit facility
• 6-week scheduling done by scheduler
• eICU support available in 14 rooms

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
