Opportunity:

RN - ER Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Float within 60-mile radius zone covering three emergency departments: Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital (Ulysses), St. Catherine-Dodge City, and St. Catherine-Garden City
• No home base facility - assignments vary by schedule and will be communicated by Monday start date
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 based on acuity
• Treat 6-49 patients per day depending on location
• Handle common diagnoses including abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Perform point of care lab testing
• Work with standard emergency medications and drips
• Charge nurses take patient assignments
• Navy blue scrub dress code required
• 2-3 day unit-specific orientation
• EPIC charting system
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Every other holiday requirement
• Driver's license must be submitted for 60-mile floating requirement
