Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend schedule required (Friday/Saturday for nights)
• Rotating holidays
• Patient ratios of 1:1-2 for ICU patients, 1:3 for stepdown patients
• Unit supports stepdown needs for the facility
• Work with 20-bed ICU unit with average daily census of 16-17 patients
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• TNCC certification preferred
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Manage typical ICU drips including moderate conscious sedation using Braun IV pumps
• Work with Phillips cardiac monitors and ventilators (Servo & Hamilton managed by respiratory therapy)
• No floating outside of ICU typically required for travelers
• 1-2 shifts of unit orientation with preceptor after general hospital orientation
• Care for patients ranging from post cath lab to balloon pumps, ventilated patients, mixed MICU/SICU with some cardiac CCU acuity
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs with navy or white jacket, white or navy undershirt, natural hair colors only
• Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from facility
• BSN not required
• Client may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment

The unit maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy, pharmacy services, and has pulmonary critical care intensivists during day shifts with hospitalist coverage at night. The facility supports stepdown care needs and maintains a collaborative environment with dedicated charge nurses and comprehensive support services.
