Description
Opportunity:
Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR
Job Details:
• Work Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• On-call responsibilities up to 50% of the time from end of shift to next morning
• Weekend on-call coverage up to 50% of weekends
• 30-minute call response time required
• Work in 6 operating rooms including 1 CVOR and 1 hybrid room
• Handle 20-30 cases per day including 1-2 cardiovascular cases or up to 4 TAVR procedures
• Common cases include CABG, aortic valve, mitral valve, and TAVR procedures
• Minimum 1 year of open heart experience required
• Scrubbing required for surgical techs
• BLS certification required
• Hospital provides scrubs
• Work with Cerner EMR system
• Charge nurse and specialty leads available as resources
• House supervisor available in-house from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract or 3 shifts if contract is under 13 weeks

The facility maintains a high-volume cardiac surgery practice performing complex procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve replacements, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement procedures. The organization provides excellent support with dedicated scrub techs, charge nurses, and specialty leads to ensure optimal patient care and surgical outcomes.

Traveler friendly, good ratios, great scheduling, decent providers, Uses tiger text to communicate with most doctors. Plenty of hiking activities. Close to Sedona, Flagstaff and Phoenix. 5:1 Med/tele and 3:1 PCU.
Cons
Cost of living is High, roughly $2000-2500 for your own private space. Float between East and West Campus, 25 minutes apart, west will likely be where you spend 75% of your shifts so pick your housing accordingly.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
