Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• 2 out of 3 major holidays or every other holiday as needed based on unit needs
• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
• Navy blue scrub color required
• 2 shifts of unit/department specific orientation
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% or higher to continue
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius from facility
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will lead to contract termination
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Nurse to patient ratios: 1:1-2 ICU patients
• 34-bed Medical Surgical ICU department
• Care for adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old
• Manage patients with respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, renal failure, and post-surgical cases
• Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips
• Work with ventilators ranging from nasal cannula to full ventilator support
• Read and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring system
• Work in fast-paced environment with volume fluctuations
• Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents
• Use EPIC charting system
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
