Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 4 ten-hour shifts per week (Monday-Friday with 1 weekday off)
• Regular hours: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday
• Call team coverage from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Call requirements: 7-10 days per month from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend call: 1 weekend per month (Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM)
• Holiday requirements: 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday
• 30-minute call response time required
• Work in 3 rooms plus 1 hybrid OR with 15-20 cases per day on average
• Circulate cases including administering medications/sedation and monitoring patients
• Handle variety of cardiac/interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, vascular, structural heart, and electrophysiology cases
• Work with 3-4 person teams per room depending on staffing and case type
• Limited floating to other departments unless critical staffing warrants
• Hospital provides scrubs for use in cath lab
• 1 day hospital orientation followed by 2 days department-specific orientation
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS through AHA
• Preferred 2-3 years experience in IR and cath lab, vascular and/or structural heart experience
• Work with Cerner EMR and Merge hemodynamic charting system
• Equipment includes Phillips x-ray/table, ultrasound, impella, intra-aortic balloon pump, and various specialized cardiac equipment

The facility features 3 procedure rooms plus a hybrid operating room, providing a full range of cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology services. The department maintains 24/7 call coverage with interventional cardiologists and radiologists, and utilizes state-of-the-art equipment including Phillips imaging systems and specialized cardiac intervention devices.
