Description
Opportunity:
RN - CVICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Patient ratios of 1:1-2 with high number of 1:1 assignments
• Must have Level I trauma experience
• ICU experience required, CVICU experience preferred
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail SIMs Lab required on day 1 of orientation for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (CCRN preferred)
• Float to other ICUs and telemetry units (4:1 ratio on tele), travelers float first before permanent staff
• May be required to float to Westgate campus
• Strong IV skills required (no IV team available)
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Natural hair color required, no facial piercings allowed
• Men must be clean shaven for fit testing
• Navy scrubs required
• Use Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry
• Care for high acuity cardiac surgery recovery patients, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, ECMO, and other complex cardiac procedures
• Perform bedside procedures including bronchs, Swan-Ganz catheters, and epidurals
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
