Opportunity:

Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Assist with daily patient flow of the Radiation Oncology clinical location
• Treat patients with prescribed doses of ionizing radiation using specialized equipment
• Prepare treatment rooms and explain procedures to patients
• Position patients and administer radiation treatments according to established procedures
• Monitor patients during therapy sessions to ensure comfort and observe condition changes
• Simulate patient treatments according to treatment plans
• Design and construct custom treatment devices for individual patients
• Use EPIC charting system for documentation
• Current licensure with IEMA Department of Nuclear Safety required
• Registry or registry eligible with ARRT within 6 months of hire required
• 2-year training program in Radiation Therapy required
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT
• Must demonstrate knowledge and skills for patient care appropriate to all age groups served
• Strong interpersonal skills needed to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare personnel
• Analytical skills required to provide accurate care instructions and interpret treatment prescriptions
