Opportunity:

RN - OR

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour or 10-hour shifts based on unit needs
• Start times vary between 6:15 AM or 6:45 AM depending on case schedule
• May be assigned "late days" requiring you to stay until cases are finished
• Required to take 3-5 eight-hour call shifts with 30-minute response time
• Evening and night shift call is required with rotating call schedule
• Weekend call requirements with 8-hour shifts, must be available for all shifts
• Holiday rotational on-call requirements
• Must be able to first scrub and circulate orthopedic procedures
• Handle general surgery, orthopedic, GYN, urology, ophthalmology, vascular, and plastic surgery cases
• Work with 12 operating suites averaging 30 cases per day
• May be required to float between hospitals or to Endoscopy if not needed in surgery
• Unit orientation provided for 2-4 shifts
• Work with operating room technicians (ORTs)
• Use EPIC and Meditech charting systems
• Required certifications: BLS Certification
• Must scrub surgical cases and work with charge nurse and nursing supervisor
• Wear scrubs from surgery vending machine
• Driver's license address must be outside 50-mile radius
• 2-year break required between permanent employment and travel positions
