Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement: Friday and Saturday for night shifts, Saturday and Sunday for day shifts
• Holiday rotation required to distribute holidays fairly
• Multi-care unit with variable ratios based on acuity: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, MST 1:5-6
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required, or 1 year ICU plus 1 year PCU/Med-Surg if from larger facilities
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts prior to contract signing
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
• Take 12-lead EKGs and monitor bedside cardiac monitors for ICU patients
• Float requirements to emergency department, MST, pediatric unit, and west campus ICU/PCU
• Care for medical ICU patients with diagnoses including sepsis, suicide attempts, drug/alcohol withdrawal, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, DKA
• Work with respiratory therapy equipment including vents, BiPap, and CPAP
• Standby rotation if low census
• Any scrub color allowed except camouflage
• Use Cerner charting system
• BSN not required
