Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float pool position - first to float between multiple units
• Every other weekend requirement (Saturday/Sunday for both day and night shifts)
• Work holiday rotation schedule with permanent staff
• Report to clinical coordinator's office prior to shift start for unit assignment
• Float primarily to 6N (36 beds) and 7N (29 beds), with additional assignments to 4N, 5S, 6S, and Critical Care units
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 for both days and nights (occasionally up to 7 patients toward end of shift)
• Must take and pass cardiac rhythm exam
• Required to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Will not titrate drips but must handle basic telemetry patients within scope of practice
• Care for patients with CHF, cardiac cath, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic, and oncology conditions
• Work with Phillips telemetry monitoring systems
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Royal blue scrubs required
• 1-2 shifts of orientation with preceptor
• Must submit copy of unexpired driver's license and comply with 50-mile radius rule
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• EPIC charting system

This Level 2 trauma center provides comprehensive acute care services with multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units. The facility features modern telemetry monitoring systems and maintains dedicated charge nurses on every unit with CNA support staff. The organization operates as a float pool system allowing nurses to gain diverse experience across various specialties including cardiac care, medical-surgical, and critical care units.
