Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Work 8-hour rotating shifts including call and weekends
• Perform non-invasive imaging procedures in Cardiac Graphics including echocardiograms, TEE's, TTE's, stress echo, and structural heart program imaging if certified in Cardiac
• Perform non-invasive imaging procedures in Vascular Laboratories including upper/lower venous duplexes, arterial duplexes, dialysis graphs, venous insufficiencies, pulse volume recordings, and ankle brachial index if certified in Vascular
• Breast experience required
• Handle proper billing of procedures and prioritize patient scheduling
• Coordinate and prioritize patient scheduling to ensure timely procedure completion
• Obtain information for specific procedures and answer patient questions courteously
• Perform all non-invasive imaging procedures within established guidelines and timeframes
• Notify appropriate medical staff if images appear to deviate from normal
• Document procedures performed within patient charts using EPIC system
• Calculate and measure cardiovascular structures from procedure data to aid physician interpretation
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas
• Complete accurate documentation through EPIC for proper billing
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and unit information
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echocardiography (RDCS-AE)
• Scrub color: Gray
• Charting system: Cerner
• Acute care setting
• Background hits must be disclosed at time of submission
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13 week contract
