Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work PM shift, three 12-hour shifts per week from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend requirement (Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Monday)
• Rotate major holidays
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2, sometimes 1:3 in ICU
• Care for critically ill patients with complex needs and life-threatening conditions
• Manage patients with sepsis, acute MI, renal conditions, post vascular procedures, strokes, TIA, seizures
• Handle invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring
• Manage lumbar drains, ARDS with ventilator management, CV procedures
• Titrate critical drips including vasopressors and sedation (Levophed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin)
• Serve adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Two years of critical care experience required, travel experience required
• CRRT and IABP experience preferred, Impella experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
• Preferred certifications: PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• No Travel Duos permitted
• Float to Stepdown, Med-Surg/Telemetry, or care for boarded patients in Emergency Department
• Read telemetry strips (no Monitor Tech available)
• Work with BiPap, CPAP, mechanical ventilation, telemetry, IV pumps, specialty beds
• Dress code: Navy scrubs (solid color, no embroidery/patterns), closed-toe shoes, no Crocs
• Use EPIC charting system
• Complete orientation including general hospital orientation, nursing orientation, computer training, and two 12-hour shifts with preceptor

The ICU features modern equipment and technology to support critically ill patients, with respiratory therapy readily available and plans to expand RT coverage within the unit.
