Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4 with typical census of 2-10 patients on 25-bed unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NALS
• Must be flexible working both Medical Surgical and Emergency Department
• Float between Med Surg and ED as required
• Weekend and holiday requirements based on unit needs
• No call or standby requirements
• Titrate drips including Heparin, Dopamine, Levophed, antibiotics, chemotherapy, and insulin drips
• Read and mount telemetry strips at central nursing station (no monitor techs available)
• Work with one CNA who assists across multiple areas
• Manage common diagnoses including respiratory conditions, sepsis, post-operative general surgery, CHF exacerbations, COPD, pneumonia, diabetes, and infections
• Handle 3-way Foley CBI, diagnostic catheterizations, and cellulitis cases
• Use respiratory equipment including nasal cannula and stable BiPAP (no ventilators)
• Hospital grade uniforms required (no specific scrub color)
• Three-day orientation: one day paperwork/computer work, two days floor orientation
• Schedule posted four weeks in advance with accommodation for requests when possible
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• BSN not required
