RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Work every other weekend required
• Rotate holidays with permanent staff
• No call or standby requirements
• Floating to other med surg units required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care medical surgical experience required
• Must have at least 1 successful travel contract
• Must reside within 75-mile radius
• Patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 with charge nurse in staffing
• Work on 2C Observation Unit with 22 beds
• Heavy telemetry unit monitored by central monitoring
• RNs perform own EKGs and draw own labs
• Handle heparin drips as primary titratable medication
• Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover, discharges, and admissions
• Up to 16 discharges per day with frequent bed turnover
• 3-shift unit orientation provided
• Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs (top and bottom), or White top with Caribbean Blue bottom, or all white
• Required certification: BLS (ACLS not required but highly recommended)
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks
• 2 CNAs available for floor support when staffing allows
