RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Acute Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 AM (all shifts are 12 hours)
• Patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both day and night shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Minimum 2 years of acute care medical surgical experience required
• At least 1 successful travel contract required
• Must live within 75-mile radius from hospital (strict requirement based on driver's license address)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (both must be AHA certified)
• Scrub color requirement: Caribbean Blue
• Work with MEDITECH EMR system (experience preferred but not required)
• Floating required to all acute care units and cardio for medical patients, or emergency department for acute care patient holds
• Unit has 44 beds with 40 staff members
• CNAs available for support with 1:8 to 1:10 ratios
• Telemetry monitoring available but monitored on different unit
• General orientation: 1 week (includes EMR training)
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 days
