Opportunity:

RN - ER Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: days 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and nights 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• Flex time/standby requirement
• ED/Med-Surg swing unit with 22 beds
• Patient ratios: 1:4 acute care, 1:6 swing bed, 1:4 in emergency department
• Float to emergency department and may work charge nurse responsibilities
• One year of Med-Surg and ED experience required
• Must have charge nurse experience
• Required to titrate drips including normal titratable and set rate drips
• RNs read telemetry strips
• Work with respiratory equipment including nebulizers, oxygen nasal cannula and masks, ventilators for ED transport, and CPAPs for swing bed patients
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• Unit-specific orientation provided
• Charting system: MatrixCare/Matrix
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Cannot have worked permanent or PRN at this facility within the last 12 months
• 50 mile radius rule applies
