Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM for days, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM for nights)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday for nights, Saturday/Sunday for days)
• Patient ratios average 1:5 (can flex up to 1:6)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Must be able to read cardiac strips and be comfortable with cardiac patients
• Care for post heart cath patients, TR bands, CHF, COPD, post pacemaker patients, and various arrhythmias
• Titrate Heparin drips and occasionally Lasix or Bumex
• May float to other units within the hospital based on skillset
• Perform own admissions and discharges with approximately 8-12 of each per day
• Self-scheduling allowed with block scheduling accommodated when unit needs are met
• Call or standby rare but possible if census is low
• Royal blue scrubs required - scrub jackets must be actual scrub jackets (no hoodies or sweatshirts)
• Two-day orientation: one day computer training, one day floor shadowing with preceptor
• Use EPIC charting system
• BSN not required
• Must provide unexpired driver's license copy with submission
