Opportunity:

RN - ICU Adult

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Self-scheduling with scheduler's right to rebalance the schedule
• 4 total weekend shifts required every 4 weeks
• Holiday coverage based on unit rotation with core staff
• Must have Level 1 trauma experience
• 2 years ICU experience required in a 600+ bed teaching facility
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail SIMs Lab on day 1 of orientation for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Must maintain sterile field competency
• Required to read and interpret own cardiac rhythm strips
• Float among all ICU areas (SICU/MICU/TICU) and Med-Surg/Tele units
• May float to St. Joseph Westgate campus
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Dress code: Navy scrubs
• Natural hair color required with no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• 2-shift unit orientation
• Work with ventilators (Cervo I, Jets, Oscillators)
• Care for 120 total ICU beds across 40-bed units
• Handle trauma patients, transplant cases, sepsis, GI bleeds, and complex surgical recoveries
• Perform bedside procedures including bronchoscopies, tracheostomies, and hemodialysis catheter placements
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
