Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with 30-minute unpaid lunch
• 27-bed medical-surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6 maximum 7 patients on night shift
• Every other weekend requirement
• May be placed in holiday rotation with alternating groups
• BLS certification required
• Must have experience with blood transfusions, wound vac changes, and PCA pumps
• Required to titrate heparin drips per protocol
• Care for orthopedic post-op patients including knee/hip replacements, GU procedures, general surgery patients, and post-catheter lab interventions
• Work with Patient Care Technicians who assist with patient care tasks
• Floating requirements to other medical-surgical, telemetry, or IMC units as needed on rotating basis
• Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs (not provided)
• 1 day orientation with educator plus 1-2 days with preceptor
• Charting system: Cerner
• 50-mile radius rule applies - driver's license copy required with submission
• No on-call requirements but may be placed on standby for low census
