Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday for night shift)
• Every other holiday obligation including Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• Block scheduling may be available but cannot be guaranteed
• Self-scheduling allowed for travelers
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5 for telemetry patients
• Work on 20-bed telemetry unit with all private rooms
• Care for patients with various diagnoses including post catheterization, medical/surgical with telemetry monitoring needs, and respiratory difficulty
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret basic dysrhythmias
• Place IVs and draw labs from central lines when ordered
• Perform point of care blood sugar testing using AccuChek glucometer
• May float to comparable or lower level units including medical/surgical or emergency department
• Provide own navy blue scrubs per dress code requirements
• Use EPIC charting system
• Work with unit-based pharmacist during day shift and 24/7 pharmacy coverage
• 3-day orientation process with first day combining education modules and shadowing
• Driver's license required with address outside 50 miles from facility
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• 5 years RN experience and at least 1+ year travel experience required
• EPIC proficiency preferred
• No on-call responsibilities

The unit is equipped with both hardwired and portable telemetry monitoring systems, with centralized monitoring provided by specialized technicians. The facility emphasizes quality patient care and maintains modern equipment to support diverse telemetry and medical-surgical patient needs.
