Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Holiday shifts worked based on unit coverage needs
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 with high number of 1:1 assignments
• Float to other ICUs and all telemetry units (4:1 ratio on tele), travelers float first before permanent staff
• May be required to float to Westgate campus when needed
• Must have Level I trauma experience required
• ICU experience only, CVICU experience preferred
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail examination on day 1 of orientation required
• Day 1 pass/fail SIMS Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• 2 days of floor-specific orientation
• Strong IV skills required as no IV team available
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Natural hair color required, no facial piercings allowed
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• Navy scrubs required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (CCRN preferred)
• Work with Cerner EMR system and Phillips telemetry
• Care for high acuity patients including cardiac surgery recovery, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic procedures, ECMO, and various surgical patients
• Participate in high number of bedside procedures including bronchs, Swan-Ganz catheters, and epidurals
• 50-mile radius rule applies

The facility emphasizes maintaining high standards for sterile technique and clinical competency across all nursing staff.
