Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float between multiple units including 6N (36 beds), 7N (29 beds), 4N (36 beds), 5S (36 beds), 6S (36 beds), and Critical Care (20 beds)
• Every-other-weekend requirement for both Saturday and Sunday shifts
• Work in holiday rotation schedule with permanent staff
• Nurse-to-patient ratios typically 1:5-6 for both day and night shifts, occasionally up to 7 patients
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must pass cardiac rhythm exam upon orientation
• Handle basic telemetry patients within scope of practice
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips
• Will not be required to titrate drips
• Report to clinical coordinator's office before shift start for unit assignment
• Common patient diagnoses include CHF, cardiac catheterization, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic, and oncology patients
• Work with CNAs on all units and monitor technicians on most units
• 1-2 shifts of orientation with preceptor
• Royal blue scrubs required
• EPIC charting system
• BSN not required
• 2 shift cancellation policy per 13-week contract
• Must submit copy of unexpired driver's license and adhere to 50-mile radius rule

Facility:

This Level 2 trauma center provides comprehensive acute care services with multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units. The facility utilizes advanced monitoring equipment including Phillips telemetry systems and maintains respiratory therapy support for CPAP and BiPap equipment. The hospital features modern EPIC charting systems and maintains staffing ratios that prioritize patient safety while providing excellent care across various specialties including cardiac, pulmonary, orthopedic, and oncology services.
