Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Team assignment model rather than individual patient assignments
• 25-bed critical access hospital in rural location serving mostly geriatric population
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• ER experience preferred with understanding of dementia, stroke, skin care, and geriatric patient care
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Preferred certifications: PALS and TNCC
• Work with EPIC electronic medical record system
• May be floated to ER based on experience (first to float)
• 3 shifts of department-specific orientation provided
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
• Holiday requirement on alternating schedule
• No call or standby requirements
• Scrubs required with no specific color requirement
• Common patient types include general rehab post-surgery and geriatric population
• Charge nurse present on each shift who also takes team assignment
• Nurse aides/CNAs available on each shift
• Telemonitor capacity available but no requirement to read strips
• Patient-managed CPAP equipment only, no ventilator management required
