Description
Opportunity:
RN - Vascular OR
Job Details:
• Work four 10-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Mandatory call coverage required with one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month
• Call response time of 30 minutes required
• Holiday call coverage required for vascular OR cases
• Must have experience in cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery
• Experience with peripheral artery bypass, AAA repair, carotid endarterectomies, fistula creation, amputations, and endovascular surgery (EVAR, TCAR, TAG) required
• Knowledge of open vascular and endovascular procedures required
• Role requires ability to circulate and sedate patients
• Experience with sedation preferred
• Thoracic surgery experience helpful
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Ceil blue surgical scrubs provided by hospital
• May need to float within other services of Heart and Vascular Institute
• One week unit orientation provided
• Work with 6 surgical suites handling 14-16 cases per day
• EPIC charting system used
• BSN not required
• Must provide copy of diploma during onboarding
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract

Units are traveler friendly, ratios 1:2 ICU, 1:3 SD, 1:5-6 Floor. Epic charting system, lots of resources and ancillary services available at most times. Easy to reach out to docs, docs are hit and miss on good communication like most places. Usually have float nurses in the ICU units to help out.
Cons
Common to get pulled as a traveler but wont pull ICU to anywhere but other ICU and SD.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
