Description
Opportunity:
RN - Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement every other weekend
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4, or 1:3 for post-surgical patients in first 24 hours
• Work in 18-bed Cardiovascular Unit (CVU)
• Care for patients requiring intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients
• Support thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart procedures
• Treat common diagnoses including Cath Lab patients, CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR, and cardiac/vascular related conditions
• Must titrate drips including Amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, cardizem, and blood pressure management medications
• Required to read and interpret telemetry strips
• May float to all same level and lower levels of acuity
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of experience with this patient population required
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius and not employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation tailored to needs and experience
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
