Description
Opportunity:
RN - CVICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts, 7 days on/7 days off schedule
• Must work 2 weekend shifts per pay period (two weeks) - may be every Friday night or every Saturday night depending on unit needs
• Holiday requirement - must work assigned holidays
• Call or standby requirement - maximum 3 per 12 weeks
• Floating requirements to ICU/PCU/MS/Tele at both campuses based on department skill needs
• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 based on acuity in 12-bed unit
• Must have more than two years of CVICU experience
• Required to take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract (must score 80%)
• Must titrate drips including Dex, Propofol, Dopamine, Neo, Epinephrine, Levophed, Insulin, and Cardene
• Experience required with IABP, CRRT, and fresh open heart surgery patients from OR
• Impella experience desired
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• Unit-specific orientation required
• Charting system: Cerner
• Common diagnoses include AMI, CAD, PVD
• Work with ventilators, BiPap, CPAP, Vapotherm, and HiFlow equipment
• In-room monitors only (Nihon Khoden) - RNs read strips
• Intensivists available in-house
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 (department specific, may share with ICU)

Cost of living is High, roughly $2000-2500 for your own private space. Float between East and West Campus, 25 minutes apart, west will likely be where you spend 75% of your shifts so pick your housing accordingly.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
