RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts in acute care medical surgical unit
• 36-bed unit with RN/LPN ratio of 6:1 and CNA ratio of 12:1
• Every other weekend requirement and holiday coverage required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care medical surgical experience required
• At least 1 successful travel contract required
• Must live at least 75 miles from facility (strict radius rule enforced)
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
• ACLS preferred
• Dress code: Caribbean Blue scrubs (top and bottom) OR White top with Caribbean Blue bottom OR all white
• Electronic medical record system: Meditech
• Charge nurse responsibilities included
• Telemetry monitoring required
• Occasional floating to other units
• 3-shift floor-specific orientation provided
• Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, ESRD, pneumonia, renal failure, sickle cell crisis, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, altered mental status, and sepsis
• 24/7 hospitalist support available
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7
• PICC team consultation available when needed
