Opportunity:
RN - PCU Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts with options for days (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM) or nights (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:4 for both day and night shifts
• 55-bed PCU unit on 4th Floor East Wing
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score requirement
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Telemetry competency required
• Work with adult patient population (pediatric patients rare, 15+ years old if present)
• Common diagnoses include CVA, TIA, shortness of breath, subdural hematoma, and weakness
• Manage PCA pumps for pain management, cardizem, and insulin drips
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system and Alaris IV pumps
• Float to medical-surgical areas based on highest need
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
