Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract timeframe
• 33-bed ICU with average daily census of 16 patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2-3 for adults
• Care for trauma, cardiac, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress patients
• Required to titrate drips including cardiac medications, insulin, and sedation
• Manage patients ranging from nasal cannula to ventilator support
• Required to read, interpret, and document telemetry strips using GE monitoring system
• Float to PCU or occasionally MedSurg with ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• One shift of unit-specific orientation provided
• Chart in EPIC system
• Must pass open book exam on Wednesdays during orientation with 90% minimum score
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius from facility
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove results in contract termination
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
