Opportunity:

RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
• Must float within a 60-mile radius Zone 1 based around Colorado Springs, CO
• Float between multiple facilities including Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More
• May be asked to float to any acuity level including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Telemetry
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1-2 dependent on acuity, may flex up to 1:3
• 1:1 ratio for high acuity patients requiring CRRT, IABP, Impella, etc.
• Must have minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• First-time travelers need 3+ years ICU experience and Epic experience
• Must be comfortable titrating all critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
• Required to read and interpret own telemetry strips
• Expected to assist with troubleshooting and managing respiratory needs
• 1-2 day orientation with preceptor
• Schedule made by leadership for 6 weeks at a time
• Must submit time off requests prior to starting assignment
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Epic charting system
• BSN not required
