Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with primary need for night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Occasional "off shifts" available including 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with flexibility for scheduling requests
• Holiday coverage only if needed for staffing
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• 2 shifts of orientation with preceptor
• Must have 2 years of ER experience and completed 1 prior successful travel assignment
• Critical care background preferred but not required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• TNCC certification preferred
• Must have experience with triage and ESI
• BSN not required
• EPIC charting system
• RNs draw own blood unless lab assistance needed
• RNs read cardiac strips
• 50 mile radius rule applies
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license with submission
• No call or standby requirements
• Minimal floating requirements from ER
• Client may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a Level III Trauma Center emergency department with 21 beds including 1 trauma bay used for resuscitation. The facility sees approximately 55 patients per day and specializes in treating psychiatric patients due to having an inpatient behavioral health unit. The emergency department handles chronic COPD, CHF, and lung issues, with high acuity traumas and STEMIs typically transferred to a higher level facility 15 minutes away. The facility has 4 safe rooms with locking gates for patient safety, contracts security services, and maintains 24/7 respiratory therapy services. The department operates with up to 4 providers during weekdays and 3 providers on weekends.
