RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 5 eight-hour day shifts with varied start times between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Float between Pre-op and PACU at Mercy Medical Center and Recovery phase at ORSC
• Handle both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery nursing care
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 in Pre-op, 1:1 to 1:3 in PACU, and 1:2 to 1:3 in Recovery
• Work with 6 ORs and 4 Endo suites total, handling 5-10 cases per day at MMC and 15-30 at ORSC
• Must have experience with Meditech EMR system
• Required to read and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to life-threatening rhythms
• Care for patients undergoing general, GYN, orthopedic and sports medicine, hand specialist, podiatry, eye, ENT, and endoscopy procedures
• No weekend, holiday, or call requirements
• Must be flexible to help fill gaps in permanent staffing as assigned by manager/scheduler
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (PALS preferred)
• Oregon nursing license required (facility willing to request 90-day emergency license if needed)
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Orientation includes general orientation, scavenger hunt, 1-2 days with preceptor, and assigned buddy for support
