Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• 6-week scheduling done by scheduler
• Patient ratios of 1:2, occasionally 1:3
• 16-bed ICU unit with eICU support in 14 rooms
• Care for variety of ICU acuity patients including ventilated patients, BIS scoring, TTM, and occasionally IABP
• Required to titrate drips including vasopressors/inotropes, sedatives, heparin, octreotide, and insulin
• May float to PCU or MedSurg units as needed
• Charge nurse on each shift who takes patient assignments
• No nurse aids or patient care techs on unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Navy blue scrub dress code requirement
• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score to continue
• Classroom orientation followed by 2 twelve-hour shifts on unit
• EPIC charting system
• Driver's license required at submittal
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius and not employed with CommonSpirit facilities
• RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract)
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
