RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Float pool position covering multiple facilities within 60-mile radius of Colorado Springs
• Must float between five facilities: Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More
• No home base facility - assignments vary by schedule
• 6-9 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance with two formats: single facility for the week or Just-In-Time assignments 1-2 hours before shift
• Float across multiple units including General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
• May float to different acuity levels including ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6 based on acuity
• Required to titrate Heparin drips
• Care for adult and geriatric populations with various diagnoses including cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, oncology, renal, post-surgical, and general medicine patients
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Must have 2 years of MS-Tele experience required, prior neuro experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Epic charting system used
• Must obtain housing within feasible distance for 60-mile float radius
• All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
