RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work in outpatient surgery/surgical center performing preoperative duties only
• Monday through Friday day shifts: 6:00 AM-2:00 PM, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, or 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
• Five 8-hour shifts per week with mostly 6-2 shifts
• 8-4 shift is the "late" shift where nurse stays until last patient goes to surgery
• No call requirements, weekends, or holidays
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:2 patient bays with floater nurses for assistance
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
• Must have IV therapy skills and ability to read cardiac rhythms
• Work with common cases including neuro, open hearts, pediatric ENT, vascular, podiatry, orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopy, thoracic, and gynecological procedures
• Use Epic electronic medical record system
• Hospital-provided scrubs through scrub exchange machine
• No floating requirements - stay within outpatient surgery department
• May include making endoscopy phone calls and prepping patients from floors in holding area
• Charge nurse is patient-free with 2 aids for the department support
